God brought all the animals and birds to Adam to see what he would name them. Adam gave names to all the livestock, birds of the air, and beasts of the field, this task reflects Adam’s authority and dominion over creation (Genesis 1:28) and his intellectual capacity.

However, no suitable helper was found among the animals, setting the stage for the creation of Eve (Genesis 2:20-22)
